As Vice President and General Counsel for Halco Mining, a consortium of international aluminum companies led by Alcoa in a mining joint venture with the Republic of Guinea, I served as chief negotiator and spokesperson for the consortium on the joint venture's Policy Committee with senior officials of the Guinean government, and completed over $250 million in financing agreements with the African Development Bank and commercial banks for infrastructure projects and mine expansion.

In mergers and acquisitions, I have been lead counsel for transactions ranging from the $4.25 million acquisition for a San Diego-based company of a German manufacturing company and related portfolio of intellectual property assets, to the $600 million acquisition for a U.S banking group of a consumer finance and home mortgage business in the United Kingdom.
