Gordon G. Kaplan
Gordon G. Kaplan is an international corporate and business law attorney with over 30 years of experience in private practice and as senior legal executive for major international companies. A member of the bar in California, Illinois, and Washington, D.C., he received his B.A. and law degrees from the University of Illinois and continued his post-graduate legal education at George Washington University and the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, University College London. Kaplan was formerly a Foreign Service officer with the State Department representing U.S. interests at our embassies in Senegal, Mauritania, and Belgium. In Washington, D.C., he advised on negotiating international agreements for world trade in agricultural commodities. Kaplan has written widely in leading newspapers and law journals and is a columnist on corporate law for the San Diego business newspaper The Daily Transcript.
